I am more than honored to have been elected president of the Young Lawyer Division of the Monroe County Bar Association. During my presidency, I wish to encourage more communication and cooperation within the YLD by holding more events outside quarterly member meetings.
When I personally joined the YLD it was right before the “Covid Years”. Before Covid the YLD would hold fun events like “Bowling with the Judges” and “Trivia Night.” My intent is to bring this element of comradery back to the forefront of what the YLD should stand for. No matter if you are the Commonwealth, Criminal Defense Attorney, or a Civil Attorney, the YLD should be a place where lawyers who are just starting out their careers can come and talk about issues they are facing and possible options on resolving those issue. As new attorneys of the Monroe County Bar Association, we should feel an ethical duty to help guide people who have joined the bar after us.
I look forward to the coming year and am always open for communication and ideas. I want to make the YLD a fun and helpful place to be.
