MCBA offers members the opportunity to participate on any number of committees. Our committees focus on member education, public education and service, professional development and mentoring as well as strengthening the legal profession within our community. Continuing Legal Education

As an accredited provider of the Continuing Education Board of Pennsylvania, MCBA offers a variety of seminars.

  • Lunch and Learn programs are offered throughout the year and focus on local rules and current changes in the law.  Scheduled Lunch and Learn programs are found on the MCBA Events Calendar.
  • Pennsylvania Bar Institute live groupcasts and video replays are offered several times a month, covering a wide range of practice areas. For PBI offerings and registration, click here.

A schedule of upcoming seminars is printed weekly in the Monroe Legal Reporter and can be found on the MCBA Events Calendar. Attorneys are encouraged to pre-register for classes with the PBI at 800.932.4637.  Enrollment may also take place on the day of class and forms will be forwarded to the PBI by MCBA.

Monroe Legal Journal

MCBA members receive free access to current and past journals thru the "Member Only" section of our website.  Members are not required to provide a deposit or pre-payment.

Young Lawyers Division

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is open to all member attorneys who are 38 years of age or less, or who have been admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania for less than five years. Community events such as Wills for Heros, annual blood drive in memory of Phil Mattes, food drives are held throughout the year.  The YLD sponsors events for young lawyers to acquaint its members with the practice of law in Monroe County by holding mentoring lunches, Meet the Judiciary events and by encouraging volunteering at MCBA member and community events.

MCBA Bar Center

The Monroe County Bar Association is located in downtown Stroudsburg.  Our Victorian style building affords members a number of services.

Members and non-members may utilize our conference rooms for committee meetings, client conferences, depositions, mediations and arbitrations.  Arrangements can be made by calling 570.424.7288 or emailing .  Limited parking is available and we are handicapped accessible.
