A Message from The President

Welcome to the Monroe County Bar Association’s
web site. Officially established in 1915, the Monroe County Bar
Association remains dedicated to its original charter which set
forth that the organization should work “to maintain the
honor and dignity of the profession of the law, to cultivate social
intercourse among its members and to increase its usefulness in
promoting the due administration of justice.”
We strive to accomplish these goals through
numerous and active committees which, in turn, plan and oversee
community projects, including the lawyer referral service, continuing
legal education opportunities for our members and a variety of
social events..
This website has been designed to provide accurate
and timely information about our Association and its goals and
