Lawyer Referral Service The Monroe County Bar Association established the Lawyer Referral Service in June, 1999. The purpose of the service is to assist individuals and groups in locating a Monroe County attorney who will suit their particular needs. Attorneys are available in many different legal areas - Employment Law, Bankruptcy/Debtor/Creditor Relations, Business and Corporate Law, Commercial/Consumer Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Insurance Law, Labor Law, Wills and Estates, Real Property and Tort, in addition to others. Potential clients receive a thirty minute consultation with each referral. Some attorneys may charge up to $25 for the consultation. Since its inception, the Lawyer Referral Service has referred approximately four hundred potential clients per month.
